Nelson and Colne College Group is a beacon for educational excellence, made up of a family of colleges – Nelson & Colne College, Lancashire Adult Learning & Accrington & Rossendale College. We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated PTHP Lecturer to join our Business team on a part-time basis working around 10+ hours per week across 3-4 days. 


This role will be based across two sites; Nelson and Colne College and Accrington & Rossendale College. 


Main duties include:

• Teach within the Business team on a range of programmes

• Be up to date to plan, deliver and assess high quality teaching as required by your Line Manager to the appropriate number of hours

• Develop and share resources for the course/subject

• Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities

• Complete required assessment duties in relation to student assignments


The ideal candidate will have:

• Recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment

• Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification

• Successful teaching experience in Business 

• Knowledge of and proven ability to deliver the curriculum successfully

About Nelson and Colne College

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms. 

Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
