Nelson and Colne College Group is a beacon for educational excellence, made up of a family of colleges – Nelson & Colne College, Lancashire Adult Learning & Accrington & Rossendale College. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Part-time Hourly Paid Teacher to join our dedicated ICT team, teaching Programming and Computer Science.
Main duties include:
• Teach on a range of programmes delivering effective learning (specifically Programming and Computer Science)
• Plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning
• Develop and share resources for the course/subject
• Maintain comprehensive, up to date, records and provide information as requested using College systems to track and communicate student progress
• Ensure close liaison and good communications with colleagues
The ideal candidate will have:
• GCSE grade C or equivalent qualification in English and Maths
• Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
• Recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
• A higher degree or advanced qualification (desirable)

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms.
Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
