Job overview

We are seeking an experienced, well-qualified and energetic LAMDA Teacher to join our thriving Drama department in February 2023. 

The successful candidate will plan, prepare and teach individual, pair and group lessons and prepare pupils for entry to the LAMDA examination board. They will be an excellent teacher who is dedicated to maintaining a high standard of teaching for a range of abilities, from beginners to advanced and have strong organisational, oral and IT skills.

Experience of teaching the LAMDA syllabus including verse and prose, acting, musical theatre and public speaking and experience of working in an independent or state school with evidence of previous examinations (of Merit and Distinction standard) is essential.

Initially, we are able to offer 10 working hours a week, although there may be the potential for this to increase. These hours can be worked flexibly around pupils’ timetable commitments and to accommodate changes to pupil needs during the school year.

The successful candidate will be employed by the school on an hourly paid contract. The hourly rate for the role is £35.00 for solo lessons and £40.00 for pair/group lessons.
