About HSV International Primary School – NSL

The Haagsche Schoolvereeniging (HSV) is a Dutch International Primary School in the heart of the International City of The Hague. The HSV was founded in 1901, with the international department starting in 1985. Today there are more than 500 children in the International Department across three locations at Nassaulaan, Koningin Sophiestraat and van Nijenrodestraat. There is also a Dutch department in the location at the Nassaulaan, an International Special Needs school, a Dutch dyslexia school as well as a Dutch special education school and a regular Dutch primary school under the wider foundation.

A fourth location, Van Heustzstraat (VHS), will open its doors for the 2018-19 academic year. The VHS location will share premises with other school under the same umbrella of the HSVfamily: the Lighthouse School Special Education, The Three Little Ships pre-school, Het Open Venster and the HSV Board Office.

We are a friendly, caring multi-cultural school and offer an international education to ex-patriate families at an affordable price.

All our locations offer the same curriculum and are run as one department. We teach the International Primary Curriculum as well as the UK curriculum for literacy and mathematics. Class sizes are small (20 maximum).

The HSV is one of 12 Dutch International Schools run by the Dutch Ministry of Education.
