Part-time Lecturer in Business Management (School of Professional and Leisure Industries)

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational individual to deliver a defined range of Business units/modules to meet curriculum requirements and quality assurance procedures.  

Degree, Subject Specialism Level 4 or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject area. Vocational experience in any of the following Business Management modules: -  

Marketing, Business Law, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Business Environment, Business Enterprise, Business Start Up, Customer Service, Operations Management, Change Management, Quality Management, and Physical Resources and any other appropriate Business and Management discipline. 

Current teaching qualification to Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training/PGCE/Cert Ed (or working towards). Qualified to Level 2 (GCSE Grade A*-C or equivalent) in English and maths (or willing to work towards completion within a specified time frame). 

Recent relevant experience of teaching to a high standard in the Further Education sector, including 14-16 age range. 

Good administrative skills with the ability to maintain accurate and relevant records in line with quality procedures. 

Payment for class contact hours only which includes all key duties and responsibilities outlined in the job description.  

Teaching is dependent on timetable requirements and student numbers in line with College funding. 

Pay claims for the actual hours worked are submitted on the last working day of the month, for payment on the last working day of the following month.  

A full enhanced disclosure check will be required via the Disclosure & Barring Service will be required for this post.  Contractual requirement to obtain relevant teaching qualifications.
