Responsible to: Taunton Preparatory School Headmaster 

Hours per week: FTE equivalent will be between 0.5 and 0.8 depending on the timetable for September 

Salary: Comparable to the national pay spine for qualified teachers 

Fixed term: Maternity cover  

Start date: September 2018 

Closing date: 8am Thursday 21st June  

Taunton School is over 170 years old and is an Independent School for approximately 1000 boys and girls aged 0-18 years, with circa 300 boarders. We aim to challenge, inspire and nurture young people to succeed in a global community. We have a vibrant Preparatory School (Years 3 to 8) of some 270 pupils with another 230 pupils in the Pre-Prep and Nursery.  

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Philosophy, Religion and Ethics Teacher for Years 6-8. The role will involve planning, preparing and teaching effective PRE lessons.  There may be the opportunity to teach other subjects (e.g. PSHE, Games).
