Part Time PPA cover Teacher

A small school on the outskirts of Derby are currently looking for a part time teacher for their PPA days each week. It will consist of two afternoons and a full day each week, covering classes from year 2 to year 5. The school have said they will provide a float TA to assist in each of the classes as they understand it can be a lot of change for a single member of staff to keep track of. 

In terms of its current status, the school has recently been rated ‘good’ by Ofsted; this has been improved upon every year since the new senior leadership team was formed. The school wish to upkeep their growing reputation in the area and want a teacher who can reflect this in their own ethos. The school has been growing in both reputation and size recently, partly due to them taking on more students from the local area and going from a single form to a two form entry school.

The role is starting in September and is due to run throughout the autumn term, it is likely that it will be extended for at least the spring term if it is not converted into a full time position by the school.  The right candidate may be asked to do at least one day of supply this term or at the start of September as a form of interview.

Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
