The British College of Gavá is a forward-thinking and innovative school situated just south of the city of Barcelona. We have recently been awarded IB World School status. The school is rapidly expanding and is searching for proactive, passionate, highly effective classroom practitioners to join the growing team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Music teacher (60%) to join the school’s well-established Music department. A full time positon may be available if candidates are able to offer PE too

Candidates should have a strong background working with UK National Curriculum, preferably with sound knowledge and understanding of Lower Primary, as well as a creative outlook to bring learning to life. Applicants should be UK trained, have at least 2 years post qualification experience working in a school, be native-level English speakers 

Person Specification:

- BA in Education with QTS or PGCE

- Strong experience teaching the UK National Curriculum

- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child

- A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children

- Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background

- A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life

- Have a natural ability to develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with children and with other adults

- Be a forward-thinking professional with ‘creative’ capabilities; able to think laterally and help to present material in exciting ways

- Possess a high level of organisational and time management skills

- The capabilities and the desire to be an integral ‘team player’ working towards common goals and enjoying successes together

- Have the disposition to work in a multinational environment based on mutual care and respect

- Willingness to contribute to the schools extra curricular programme
