Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Experience of supporting children with Autism, or an interest in doing so.

The role

Smart Teachers are seeking a committed and experienced Special Needs Support Assistant to support a child in Key stage 1. Funding has been allocated to the school to employ someone 3 days per week (days not set until candidate hired), as per their Educational Health plan.  The successful candidate will need to demonstrate resilience and composure, look to form a strong bond with the child, and in turn allow them to contribute to whole class as best as suitably possible. Working hours are 0830-1530 for 3 days per week.

The school

This is a Primary school, split over two sites and is located in the heart of Hounslow, within the town of Brentford. There are 2 classes per year group, with support from extremely well trained and professionals teaching assistants and learning support staff. The school was last inspected in 2017 and remains to be graded as ‘Good’. Requirements

To be considered for the Part time Special Needs Support Assistant position, you will:

• Have experience of working within Primary schools

• Experience, or a desire to support children with Special Educational Needs
