Job overview

Part time TA needed:

A school in the East of Derby is looking for a part time Teaching Assistant who is willing to come in 2-3 days per week to help out in a year 4 class. Their brief indicated that the role may require some 1:1 tuition with some of the more challenging children in order to bring them up to the same standards as the rest of the class. However they also expect any TA to be one of a teacher’s key tools in the classroom, working with an experienced member of staff to push the children to achieve their potential.

The school received a ‘good’ rating in its most recent Ofsted report and wishes to drive forward and achieve ‘outstanding’ for its next one. In terms of location, the school is ideally situated for those within the city of Derby and also easily accessible by anyone near the a38 as it’s toward the outskirts of Derby.

The position is starting in September; however the school would like to meet with a candidate ASAP just to make sure they are right for the school and the position.

If you would like to be considered then click to apply now! Or please contact Kiefer today by calling 01332 219051 or email your CV to khannon@abc-teachers.co.uk

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.

Now is an extremely exciting time to join ABC teachers as we were acquired by TES over Easter 2016; they have chosen to work with 3 agencies throughout the country and ours was one of them. We are also recognised and awarded the Gold Standard by the REC which will give you peace of mind that you are registering with the right agency.

If you register with ABC Teachers, we are so confident about getting you work; we will run you a brand new DBS and once you have fully registered and worked 1 day with us, we will refund you the money. This will save you close to £50! (Subject to terms and conditions)
