This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative individual with the desire to help shape and develop the success of the Technology department at the College. This 0.5FTE post would suit an experienced teacher or NQT.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an active part of the development and direction of the department as it grows, with opportunities for professional and career development. This represents a unique opportunity for a teacher who is looking to take full advantage of the opportunities and training available and develop themselves professionally. Potential is as important as experience.
The College is looking to appoint a strong classroom practitioner who is willing to undertake professional development to build skills in order to teach across the Technology department. In Key Stage 3 students are taught on a carousel of Food and DT. Students can opt to specialise in Design Technology at Key Stage 4 and Food and Nutrition at Key Stage 4 and 5. The ability to teach Design & Technology/3D Design up to Key Stage 4 is essential and the ability to teach Food in Key Stage 3 is desirable.
Candidates will need to show a commitment to sustaining academic excellence, helping every child succeed and the potential to be an excellent classroom practitioner. As well as being able to work as part of a team, roll up your sleeves and inspire others to excel.
We invite potential applicants to contact the college for a tour and conversation with Mrs Vanden, Head of Technology, for further information.
An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
