PART-TIME TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS (MATERNITY COVER)

We are currently seeking to recruit a Part-Time Teacher of Mathematics to cover a maternity leave from Monday 5 November 2018. 

This is a part-time post, working a 60% timetable across 4 days per week in a friendly department with two other specialist teachers. 

The successful applicant should be willing to teach a wide variety of classes, including Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level Mathematics, and play a full part in the wider life of the department and the School. The ability to teach A Level Further Mathematics will be an advantage. 

The Mount School York is a thriving boarding and day community set in 16 acres of beautiful grounds located ten minutes’ walk from York’s historic city centre. The Mount is a school for girls aged 2 to 18 and boys aged 2 to 11. We are an iPad school and all pupils and staff have iPads and use them as an integral tool in their teaching and learning.

Our bespoke and engaging curriculum is tailored to motivate and enthuse girls from Early Years to Sixth Form. Girls are given a strong foundation of knowledge and a variety of learning. Within our inspiring all-girls community each girl develops to her full potential. Pupils learn to think independently, and discover their passions, leaving them ready to make a positive contribution to our changing world.
