The Grey Coat Hospital, founded in 1698, is a Church of England school for girls aged eleven to eighteen with a mixed Sixth Form. The historic foundation of the school and its current ethos are rooted in a confident and generous Christian faith and practice, which welcomes students and staff of all backgrounds and beliefs. 

This ‘outstanding’ voluntary-aided Church of England Girls’ school, has the following vacancy for:

Part Time Teacher of Singing for September 2022 

Initially 5-6 hours teaching per week but with the opportunity to expand depending on student demand.  

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous singing tuition experience and should be capable of teaching up to Grade 8 standard and beyond as well as GCSE and A Level performances.  

• Be able to teach a range of styles; piano skills are highly desirable.

• Be able to plan individual lessons that set challenging teaching and learning objectives which are relevant to the pupils taught

• Closely monitor and assess progress

• Select and prepare resources including repertoire

• Maintain accurate attendance records and adhere to the rota system in operation
