Part Time Tutor Childcare

Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES), recently judged by Ofsted Inspection as “officially good and on our way to outstanding”, is the largest local authority adult education service in London and one of the largest in the country. We offer a large and diverse programme of further education qualification courses and employer-based training as well as extensive community based provision. We have a diverse, enthusiastic student community, taught and supported by well qualified, dedicated staff. Our three main centres in Westminster are all modern, easily accessible and purpose built, offering high quality teaching and learning facilities.  

Part-time hourly paid Childcare tutor required immediately to teach the CACHE Level 1 Award in Caring for Children. The successful applicant will have: 

• Up to date CPD showing relevant Childcare knowledge and experience 

• Qualification in Childcare at Level 2, preferably Level 3

 • A1 Assessor qualification or equivalent  

• Teaching qualification, minimum PTLLS or equivalent  

• Daytime availability on term-time Mondays from April to the end of July 2017  

A tutor with health and social care experience is also required on Tuesdays to teach the CACHE Level 1 Award in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Setting – applications especially welcome from candidates who are qualified for both roles.
