Location: BDC - Grantham College

Grantham College has recently been successful in securing funding from the Big Lottery/European Social Fund to deliver a Building Better Opportunities project focusing on engagement into learning for unemployed people. The Engagement into Learning Project will support the GLLEP strategic aim of underpinning skills activity to 'ensure that the employability skills business owners want are delivered to those that need them' and to 'deliver locally tailored activity that will produce better outcomes for the long-term unemployed'.

The College is therefore seeking to appoint a Partnership Engagement Officer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of Big Lottery/ESF contracts. The role is very hands on and the successful candidate will co-ordinate the programme on a day to day basis; engage with local people and develop referral pathways as appropriate for the clients and contract.

The Partnership Engagement Officer will have a good understanding of barriers to employment, inclusion and skills development and will possess excellent communication and team working skills. Experience of working in the community or delivering on employability programmes will be an advantage as will a demonstrable track record of achieving successful outcomes from a challenging project.

We can offer a pleasant working environment, excellent pension scheme, continued professional development and a generous holiday allowance.

The closing date for all applications will be Friday 12 August 2016, with interviews taking place late August – actual date TBC.

Please note that due to the volume of applications we receive we will only be able to contact candidates who have been selected for interview.
