Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Assistant/Behaviour Support Assistant to join a large Secondary School in Sheffield on a temporary basis from January 2022 through to at least Easter 2022, with potential for a permanent position to become available for outstanding candidates.
The role will include de-escalation of behaviours once pupils are needing to be removed from mainstream lessons, providing a nurturing learning environment for students struggling to engage in mainstream lessons for varying SEMH reasons. Students may have a range of additional needs or disabilities that will require support from time to time. Flexibility to support within the schools as required is essential.
Salary is dependent on experience and hours worked. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: 6 months minimum experience within the same or a similar role.
To be considered for the position of Pastoral Support/Behaviour Support Assistant you must:
• Have experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
• Have a nurturing and therapeutic approach to supporting students.
• Have a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role.
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Inclusion Staff
