Pastoral Leader

The Whitby High School is a highly successful 11-18 foundation school with over 1600 students on roll which includes a thriving sixth form.  This popular, over-subscribed school places the achievement of all learners as priority and as a result, academic standards are high.

Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pastoral Leader to be responsible for the attendance, welfare and behaviour of students in a pastoral ‘House’. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership of the House and lead a group of form tutors, with the aim of providing first-class care and support to enable young people to fulfil their potential. Work in a wider system of support and with other agencies to support children and families.  A flexible approach to work is essential for this post.
