The academy opened in September 2012 and is sponsored by the David Ross Education Trust. It is a smaller than average secondary school with 470 students currently on roll in key stages 3 and 4 and 40 students in our satellite sixth form. We have a PAN of 90. 

The academy is currently attracting students from a wide catchment area from Skegness, the surrounding area and as far as Boston, Alford and Louth.

The proportion of students who are disadvantaged (37%) and the proportion of students with SEND (28%) is above the national average. The proportion of students with an education, health and care plan is below average (3%).

As part of the David Ross Education Trust, the academy offers a wide range of sporting, cultural and residential enrichment opportunities.

 About the role

To be committed to the maintaining the administration in relation to the work of the Pastoral Managers.

To be committed to working with the behaviour data in relation to the work of the Pastoral Managers

In conjunction with the VP Pastoral lead a fortnightly review of all students with Behaviour packs

Ensure staff are using the Behaviour Support packs appropriately, all support has been recorded, and the individual packs kept up to date. (Including GAPs and GASPs)

To act as a point of contact for any administration linked to behaviour.

Ensure all paperwork has been completed correctly, signed and dated.

Who we are looking for

We require an enthusiastic and highly committed person who will be an excellent pastoral manager

The successful candidate will: 

Have experience of working with young people aged 11-19 in a secondary school

Have a willingness to undertake further work related training

Have good ICT skills (including using Microsoft Word and Excel)

Have knowledge and understanding of strategies to overcome barriers to learning, behaviour and attendance

Have the ability to work flexibly as part of a team

Good organisation, time management, communication and interpersonal skills

Be willing to undertake first aid training

Help foster a culture of high expectations
