Eaton Bank Academy has a vacancy for a Pastoral Manager, who will provide excellent support for the behaviour and welfare of students and encourage their academic achievement.

Working weeks per year: 38.6 (term time, plus 3 INSET days)

Qualifications, skills and personal qualities required include:
· 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent.
· Proven pastoral skills experience including problem solving, taking initiative and sharing information to work as an effective team player within an organisation.
· Experience of working with aged 11-18 students in an educational environment.
· An understanding of curriculum pathways, learning, behaviour and disciplinary strategies.
· A positive role model with a commitment to the ethos and educational values of the school.
· Experience of working with external agencies to support students’ wellbeing and welfare.
· Good organisational and time management skills with evidence of ability to manage own workload and work independently.

About Eaton Bank Academy
Located in the town of Congleton, Cheshire, Eaton Bank Academy is a co-educational secondary school. With around 750 pupils aged 11-18, Eaton Bank Academy is smaller than the average school of its type, with the sixth form being responsible for around 120 of these. Eaton Academy was only founded in the year 2000, following a re-organisation of a number of other local schools. In 2012, the school converted to an academy, but is not part of any multi-academy trust. Owing to its relatively recent founding, the school can boast of a wide range of modern sports facilities, including tennis courts, a gymnasium and a fully equipped sports hall.
