Here at Wings Notts we are currently looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Pastoral Manager who will take on the role of supporting the team at the school to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our young people first. They will provide appropriate and emotional support to young people in school, working collaboratively with the Care, Education and Clinical teams.

Key Roles / Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • To sustain high standards of ‘good care and behaviour support’ and develop what this looks like
  • Manage and develop the Pastoral Support Team
  • Support and engage staff in developing skills in behavioural management
  • In association with the Head of Education to develop and realise a comprehensive programme of alternative education routes for our young people
  • Engage the young people in designing and partaking in their educational opportunities including supporting Pupil Voice
  • To develop and support effective data recording and monitoring in line with school requirements to enable practice to be evidence based
  • Working with the Wings Senior Education Team to ensure resources and staff are co-ordinated effectively and support Care Services
  • To lead on effective behaviour management strategies ensuring that the Wings Nottingham ethos is not compromised

Person Specification:

  • Experience of behaviour management in an educational setting
  • Previous experience of managing challenging behaviour
  • Evidence of staff management
  • Qualified in behaviour management programmes e.g Team Teach (Desirable)
  • Experience of developing alternative curriculums
  • Previous experience within EBD schools or PRU
  • Experience in leading and implementing PBS (positive behaviour support) in schools. (Desirable)
