Lode Heath School is a caring and nurturing learning community with tolerance, respect and responsibility at its core. We support each other, we value each other as individuals and we have the highest expectations of each other.

Our aim is to educate the whole person: to help every student, irrespective of their background or abilities, to build the skills, confidence and independence they need to thrive in higher education or the workplace. That means promoting a love of learning that will last a lifetime. And we have high aspirations for our staff too;  we too are lifelong learners and, through a warm and collaborative approach, we aim to support and challenge each other to be reflective and to push ourselves to provide our students with the very best that we can.

Key here is our diverse curriculum - a wide and varied mix of subjects that engages, stimulates, challenges and stretches young minds, encouraging them to explore and discover. Beyond developing their understanding and knowledge of subjects themselves, we give our students the opportunity to build all-important life skills as part of the curriculum. Our Life Ready Days also offer a wide range of inspiring experiences including team building with the army entrepreneurial workshops, volunteering and many more.  When it comes to extra-curricular activities, there really is something for everyone including theatre visits and sports tours to expeditions around the world, workplace experiences and regular dance, drama and music shows to name but a few. There’s a wide range of school clubs too, as well as volunteering opportunities in the local community and here at the school itself. We welcome any new opportunities to widen our already extensive offer.

Lode Heath School is a member of the Arden Multi-Academy Trust where we are committed in working together to help and enrich the experiences of all within the AMAT family; we have a clear vision to generate self-belief, self-worth, esteem and confidence in our young people who can then display the ambition and aspiration in achieving high educational outcomes.  The AMAT also provides opportunities for sharing best practice and progression routes as we look to identify and nurture staff talent and recruit from within. 

Located in Solihull, one of the most prosperous towns in the Midlands, which offers plenty of superb amenities from its thriving shopping centre through to lively bars and first-class restaurants. Close to Birmingham Airport, the NEC and the new Resorts World development, it also has excellent transport links to Birmingham city centre and beyond.
