Pastoral Practitioner

Our pastoral team requires a practitioner to help with the day to day pastoral work in school. This will involve all aspects of  behaviour management, including one to one work, communication with parents/carers and outside agencies, and building engagement with hard to reach students. This role will also include supporting the safeguarding team to ensure the welfare of all students and successful applicants will undertake DSL training.

Applicants must have 5 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent, preferably including English and maths.

The Fernwood School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 academy, situated in Wollaton in Nottingham. The school has been recognised by Ofsted and the Department for Education for excellent academic standards and outstanding care and discipline. It achieved Leading Edge status for excellent practice in 2004. There are 1,016 students on the school roll.
