Job overview
The Hammond seeks to invite applicants for our new position of Pastoral Support Officer. The post holder will be expected to manage and deliver pastoral support to pupils in our Lower School (Years 7 to 11) who need help in overcoming barriers to learning and developing their potential.
The is full time term time based role, working from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
The pastoral systems in the school have been overhauled and new proactive methods of addressing behaviour have been implemented. Along with new electronic systems for recording and communicating, these changes are having a positive impact on pupils’ behaviour and learning. School numbers are strong and the future is exciting with many more developments planned.
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children to help them succeed. Experience of working with young people and a keenness to learn or adapt to new systems and technology are desirable.
