Job overview

Outwood Grange Academies Trust has a number of rewarding vacancies for Pastoral Support Officers available across its academies in Middlesbrough, Redcar and Stockton-on-Tees.

As Pastoral Support Officer, your role will involve working closely with Learning Managers, Attendance colleagues and others, providing operational and administrative support in order to promote attendance, help students make the right choices in terms of their behaviour, and to provide general pastoral support to students. No two days will be the same; one day may involve you making home visits, liaising with parents and intervening with non-attenders, the next day may see you working one to one with a student to help them access a lesson they may find difficult. Whatever the day involves, you can be certain that you will play a key role in helping children achieve their full potential.

Working directly with students and making a real difference, these vacancies provide a great opportunity both for people with experience of working with children and/or young people, as well as for people who may not have the direct experience of working in a school, but who have the right outlook and attributes in order to make a difference. Whichever academy you will be based in, you will be joining a supportive team who are all focused on putting students first; raising standards and transforming lives.

There are a number of Pastoral Support Roles available in the following academies:

Outwood Academy Acklam (Middlesbrough)

Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth (Stockton-on-Tees)

Outwood Academy Normanby (Middlesbrough)

Outwood Academy Ormesby (Middlesbrough)

Outwood Academy Redcar (Redcar)
