Thank you for your interest in the role of Patrol Officer at The Milton Keynes Academy. We are seeking to appoint a confident and resilient staff member to provide On Call support across the school. You will be responsible for picking up pupils from lessons and dealing with pupils who are truanting from lessons or who are late to lessons and escorting them to the Exit Room, where they can reflect on their behaviour and attitudes before they return to their next lesson.
The role would be well suited to an individual with experience of working with disaffected young people, who has excellent behaviour management skills. Playing a vital role in our Pastoral care, as part of the school’s student behaviour management strategy, the role of the Patrol Officer is centrally about supporting the pastoral team with high quality pastoral support, ensuring good behaviour, high attendance and punctuality and supporting the wellbeing of students.
We are based in central Milton Keynes, an area that continues to grow and thrive at a rapid rate. The Milton Keynes Academy joined Creative Education Trust in September 2018. This has enabled the school to continue its rigorous pursuit of rapid improvement for the children it teaches.

The Milton Keynes Academy is a co-educational, non-selective secondary school for students aged 11-18. We are a member of the Creative Education Trust, a charity and multi-academy trust with a network of non-selective primary and secondary state schools.
