Our Integrated Services comprises of dynamic teams of occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) Specialists, working in our education settings. Enhancing quality of life of children and young people with autism and learning disabilities is central to all we do.

We are looking for a PBS Specialist to join the team in this newly formed and growing Emotional Health and Wellbeing (EHW) department. The new team will comprise of PBS Specialists, psychologists, assistant psychologists, and a nurse.

As a PBS Specialist you will be passionate about improving the quality of life of children and young people with autism and learning disabilities. You will provide specialist behavioural assessments and interventions to the children and young people in the setting in which you are primarily based. This will involve undertaking direct assessment and intervention, and indirect assessment and monitoring with class teams with a fluid caseload determined and prioritised by the needs of the cohort.

We are looking for someone that had:

  • Experienced in the use of complex methods of functional assessment and intervention
  • Board certified behavioural analyst qualification or master's level training in Positive Behaviour Support or equivalent experience
  • Implements a range of impactful specialist behavioural assessment and interventions with children and young people with autism, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge
  • Exitances of apply the latest research evidence and evaluative thinking in practice

Ambitious College is a specialist day college for autistic young people aged 16 –25.

The college has two campuses co-located within mainstream colleges in north and west London. These are the Pears Campus at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL) in Tottenham and the Pears Campus at West Thames College in Isleworth.

At each campus, there is a team of dedicated and passionate professionals including teachers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, employment specialists, behaviour specialists and specialist support staff. Using the Ambitious Approach to education, they work together to come up with learning and support approaches tailored to the individual.

Through a range of partnerships with local businesses, community groups and mainstream partners, the college also offer opportunities to learn in the community. This combined approach – personalised education, positive support and real work experience – delivers results. It allows young people to achieve their goals, fulfil their potential and go on to lead active lives in their community.
