Job overview

An NQT or recently qualified teacher with the ability to coach, lead and inspire our pupils, is required at this exciting and innovative ‘Thinking School’ situated a stone’s throw from Portobello Road in West London

You must be motivated, highly organised, approachable, with good interpersonal skills, particularly in communicating with parents.  The successful candidate will have the ability to teach netball, hockey, athletics and cricket. Experience of working with a variety of Key Stages would be beneficial. 

Notting Hill Prep is a “Thinking School”, a title which reflects its intelligent approach to education and its devotion to instilling in its children the values of resilience, creativity and responsibility, which it holds dear. The school aims to teach children not merely to learn, but to learn how to learn. The ability to imbed ‘Thinking School’ practices in all lessons will be a requirement.

This appointment will cover maternity leave and extend for a fixed term of one year.

Interviews will take place during the week beginning Monday 7th October 2019. Short-listed candidates will be expected to teach an observed lesson during their interview day and enjoy a tour of our school.

Notting Hill Preparatory School is a mixed, non-denominational independent primary school in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, serving students from the age of 4-13. The primary school, situated in Notting Hill has approximately 435 students on record.

Notting Hill Preparatory School opened in 2003, set up through the collaboration of parents and teachers. The school opened new buildings in 2009 and 2018, with facilities including a computer suite and specialist art, music and science rooms.
