The Kuala Lumpur Alice Smith School (KLASS) is fully accredited as a British School Overseas by the Department for Education in London, receiving an ‘Excellent’ grade from its recent inspection. Our school has an established reputation for excellence, and as a not-for-profit educational foundation, all resources are focused on the development and well-being of students. Located on two sites in Kuala Lumpur with excellent facilities, it has a total student population of approximately 1,600 and caters for the full age range from 3 to 18 years.

Sport and Physical Education is a thriving department at the school. In addition to high quality classroom lessons the schools has a large sports programme that has a varied and well attended extra-curricular schedule. We offer a busy calendar of high profile sporting events throughout the year, and also attend a variety of sports competitions and fixtures both in Malaysia and abroad.
The PE and Sports Specialist will assist teachers in the PE department while also providing targeted support for the Director of Sport, Head of Sport and Head of PE when required. The role will include; time supporting in PE lessons, assisting with team coaching, supporting Extra-Curricular activities, organisation and attendance of domestic and overseas tournaments and administrative support for all of these tasks. In addition, as a very visible team, the PE and Sports Specialist will be expected to be able to interact appropriately with all Stakeholders of the KLASS community. This position would be suitable for a graduate interested in aspiring to be a teacher and while a Bachelor's degree is essential, a teaching degree is not.
