This post is suitable for someone who possesses high-level skills in two or more of the major sports (hockey, cricket and rugby) and who wishes to work within the PE department to utilise these skills. You may well be considering teaching as a career. There may be the opportunity for the successful applicant to be involved in supporting the teaching of examination PE.

Watford Grammar School for Boys is an academy with over 1400 students, including over 400 in the sixth form. From its origins as a charity school for 60 pupils founded by Dame Elizabeth Fuller in 1704, the boys’ school moved to its present site in 1912 and became an Academy in 2010. Located next to the centre of Watford, near Cassiobury Park, it comprises of a Grade II listed building, The Clarendon Muse, The James Theatre, a dedicated STEM Centre and extensive sports facilities.
