Job overview

A great opportunity for PE NQTs with a second subject

Are you finishing your PE PGCE - and you also offer a second subject? If so The Education Fellowship in Northamptonshire has a great opportunity for you.

We are looking for outstanding PE teachers with a second subject at A level standard (minimum) to launch their careers in our Trust. You will be teaching PE and a second subject, mentoring and assisting students to reach their potential, and being an outstanding role model. We are able to develop subject knowledge and enhance classroom practice to help you deliver a second subject to the outstanding level of your primary subject.

Our two Northamptonshire secondaries – Wrenn Academy in Wellingborough and Rushden Academy in Rushden – have opportunities for inspiring and motivational individuals who embrace challenge, change, educational excellence, transformational teaching and innovative curriculum. Both are rapidly improving schools on their journey to outstanding. There will also be opportunities to move between academies and further widen your experience.

NQTs will be employed from 1 July and paid throughout the summer holidays. They have the support of a strong and dedicated team.

Second subjects of particular interest to us include: English, science, mathematics, and ICT programming.

The Education Fellowship is a multi-academy trust committed to every child at our academies receiving access to a top quality education - and the life opportunities that can offer. We offer strong leadership and management structures and provide comprehensive continuous professional development (CPD) with internal and external training conferences and events, and an online learning portal.

The recently appointed Principal of Rushden Academy, Jay Davenport, is himself a PE teacher. He and Steve Elliott, Principal of Wrenn Academy, are keen to hear from you.
