PE specialist teacher

Carden is a friendly, welcoming two form entry mainstream primary school with a nursery. The school is very inclusive and has a strong, caring ethos which is enriched by pupils from a range of social and cultural backgrounds. At Carden we also have two provisions for children with statements or EHCPs for children with Speech, Language and Communication needs from Reception to Year 6. 

The school is well known both locally and nationally for its outstanding sports provision and has been recognised as such by achieving The Platinum Games Mark, ApFE and Youth Sports Trust accreditations. We work with a huge number of sports organisations, providers and coaches and regularly host/lead training and development sessions for other professionals. 

We are looking to appoint an outstanding PE teacher to join our team

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, experienced and outstanding teacher with excellent behaviour management skills and high expectations for all children. The post will involve teaching PE to all classes from Nursery to Year 6 across the school. They will be passionate about sport and making learning fun, relevant, enjoyable and challenging. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving, forward-thinking school and also to work in partnership with a number of local and national sports organisations in order to continue to maintain the high profile of the subject both within and outside the school.

The closing date for applications is midday on Friday 18th May 2018 with interviews to be held on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th May 2018.
