King’s College, The British school of Latvia, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring and ambitious PE Teacher for our school in Riga.

The school opened its doors in August 2017 and is the first British school in the country.
The school has opened with pupils age 3 (Nursery) to age 11 (Year 6). As the school grows it will eventually educate pupils from Nursery to Year 13 (age 18).
The curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum and will allow pupils to study a wide range of subjects, including also those covering the Latvian Language, History and Geography. These studies will culminate in students undertaking IGCSE, and A Level examinations, which will prepare them to be able to enter the best universities in the world.
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspiring person for our King’s School in Riga, Latvia:
A dynamic, passionate, resilient and inspirational teacher
Achieved Qualified Teacher status (Applications from NQTs also welcome).
A degree or equivalent in the subject to be taught
Excellent working knowledge on the English national curriculum and recent developments
A fluent English speaker
Flexible and ready for the challenge of a developing school and new department.
Desirable 2 years minimum experience
The PE Teacher will assist all pupils to develop emotional security, self-belief and mature social skills, assist all children to develop a love of learning and an excitement about coming to school each day and recognise the unique child and plan for their development using both the indoor and out-door curriculum.

About King’s College Latvia
The school has opened its doors in August 2017 and is the first British school in the country. Sitting on a site occupying 20,000 m2 within the Saliena development in Riga, Latvia’s capital city, the school will offer the local and surrounding communities the opportunity to benefit from a quality British education, the hallmark of King’s College.
The school has been designed to hold approximately 580 pupils and will eventually cater for children from the age of 2 years old (Pre-Nursery), through to 18 years old (Year 13). It currently offers places to children between the ages of 2 and 16 years old. As these pupils progress through their academic journey, the school will expand to cater for pupils up to 18 years old.
At King’s College our pupils study in the British curriculum which is renowned globally as being the gold star of educational systems. Pupils learn through hands-on practical experiences that aim to enrich the whole child’s growth. The school is authorised to offer the IBDP in Years 12 and 13.
