The Sport and Physical Education Department at Amity International School is looking for a Teacher of Physical Education for maternity cover to start in January 2020.

The department consists of 8 full-time specialist teachers, and supported by swimming academy coaches, delivers PE and Swimming to ages 3-16 years old. Amity boasts outstanding facilities that include a full size 3G Astro, 400m Athletics Track, recently opened Olympic Swimming Pool and Learner Pool, sprung floor Dance Studio, Sports Hall, Outdoor Courts and its very own Sailing Centre. Competing in local leagues through ADISSA (Abu Dhabi International School Sports Association) the school teams have achieved recent successes in football, netball, rugby and swimming.

As well as teaching Physical Education the ideal candidate will have experience in coaching one or more of the main sports at Amity: Netball, Football, Swimming, Athletics, Dance and Gymnastics.

For this role, you should have:

- A bachelor's degree in a related subject

- A qualification in teaching (e.g. PGCE or Bachelor's in Education) for the specialism and age range

- At least one year of teaching experience
