Job overview

It is an exciting time at Becket Keys Church of England School (Outstanding, 2014). We are working hard to build upon the GCSE successes of our three founding cohorts to ensure our next cohort get their best possible results in 2020, whilst also establishing our new Sixth Form into its third year.

To cover a maternity leave, we are now seeking an additional teacher to join our highly successful and hard-working PE team. If you can deliver rigorous PE teaching to our female students and are ready to offer valuable sports to our extra-curricular offer, we want to hear from you. We are particularly looking for netball, gymnastics and athletics expertise. We would prefer a candidate who is ready to teach GCSE PE as part of their duties.

The appointee will be committed to our high expectations and core values –  we welcome applications from teachers irrespective of their faith or lack of it.  However, we ask for applicants to appreciate and respect the beliefs of others and have strong moral principles. The position could suit an ambitious NQT, we have an excellent induction and ‘first year’ programme to support those who are new to the career. However, the colleague would have to show how/why they feel ready to teach GCSE straight away. A strong academic profile would help with this.

Staff will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme and laptop. Childcare voucher system is available.

For further information about our school, including our brand-new sports hall, please visit our website at www.becketkeys.org. Please email us at vacancies@becketkeys.org if you would like to discuss this role further.  Visits are encouraged, so please email us for details of our forthcoming tours.

To Apply

Please complete both our application form and equalities monitoring form and email it with a personal statement to vacancies@becketkeys.org.

Becket Keys is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Closing date:

Noon, Friday 13th December 2019

Please apply promptly as interviews may be held before the closing date where it could help the school to secure a strong candidate.
