Haut-Lac International Bilingual School is a private school of about 650 students aged from 3 to 18 years overlooking Lake Geneva in the French speaking area of Switzerland. The secondary school follows the I.B. MYP and DP programmes.

Haut-Lac has Physical Education Teacher post available from August 2019.

The successful applicant will have had experience teaching all school sports including gymnastics, basketball, football, badminton, etc., being able to ski, speak French; and having some knowledge of the I.B. programmes, would also be an advantage. 

He or she also needs to have experience as a teacher, assistant athletic director or athletic director with at least 5 years of experience at the secondary level. 

He or she will need to have leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with colleagues, coaches, students, school administrators, staff, parents, and the community. 

The PE teacher supports the school mission by articulating and  implementing a programme to enhance the development of the students. Our programme fosters academic growth, personal health and wellness, development of character and integrity, support for team effort and competition.

Sports facilities at Haut-Lac are excellent with a triple gym, outdoor full size synthetic football pitch and tartan multi sports areas. Candidates would be expected to take a full, hands-on attitude to the sports programme including extra-curricular activities and general involvement with school life.

It is situated close to the secondary school in St-Légier, and comprises classrooms, specialist art and music rooms, a library, a uniform shop, a teaching kitchen and numerous offices. Modern facilities at the secondary campus include specialist IT rooms and Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology linked to a laser cutter and plastic former in the tech lab. Saint-Légier-La Chiésaz is located in the canton of Vaud, and has a total population of approximately 5,000.
