PE Tutor (Functional and Vocational skills)

Full time vacancy for a lively, energetic and inspirational tutor to deliver Vocational and Functional Skills

As an experienced and qualified professional PE Tutor, you will work with these young people to progress them to achievement of ASDAN alongside stimulating vocational qualifications. Applicants should as a minimum possess a teaching qualification [L3 CTLLS or above] and hold a Level 2/GCSE qualification in English and Mathematics.

Assessor qualifications would be desirable plus experience of and empathy for working with our young people. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate accomplished classroom management.

Applicants need to use innovative delivery methods to deliver the above subjects to learners making these subjects fun and engaging. Good time management and planning skills are essential.

Specification:

Understanding of functional skills teaching, learning and qualifications

Experience of working in non-mainstream settings with challenging learners

Ability to empathise and support the development of learning

Robust understanding of safeguarding procedures

Ability to work as part of a small team

Good general level of education (Teaching qualification, ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English or equivalent)

Excellent delivery and communication skills

You must be reliable, flexible, adaptable, and possess the ability to motivate and inspire.

Good coordination and organisational skills

Demonstrable track record of student achievement

Innovative, fast thinking and versatile

Excellent time management

Good general level of ICT skills including Microsoft Office

Experience of working with E3/L1 qualifications

Age range from 11-16 yrs.

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum plus pension and healthcare.

Experience: 3 year (Preferred)
