Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn (CE) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW, covering 88,000 square kilometres including the whole of the ACT and extending from Pambula on the south coast, to Crookwell in the North, through to the western point of Lake Cargelligo. Operating 56 Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres, CE provides education to over 21,000 students within the Diocese and employs over 2,100 professionals.

Reporting to the Director (Chief Executive) of Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn, and as part of the Executive Team you will contribute to the strategic leadership and management of the organisation, playing a key role in the future of Catholic Education working to shape, develop and realise Catholic Education’s purpose to be faith-filled Catholic learning communities of hope, joy and wonder where all are welcome and inspired to grow to their potential.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Human Resources Executive who has clearly demonstrated and proven experience in strategically leading organisations in the area of people and culture, including the design and implementation of contemporary and evidence based people strategies to attract, develop and retain quality employees whilst building a performance culture that delivers on the core values and purpose of an organisation.

You will have a strong personal commitment to the teaching and practice of the Catholic Faith, as well as be known as a senior leader who inspires and engages with people at all levels with the proven ability to work collaboratively as part of an executive team, providing valued advice and representing the organisation with diverse stakeholder groups.

Qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent along with a demonstrated understanding of the Australian national workplace relations system and related Act’s and employer obligations (essential). Additional qualifications in change and/or transformation or similar would be highly regarded.
