Job overview

A people professional looking to be able to put your agile thinking into practice? Interested in an exciting opportunity to be part of a great team, supporting schools to ensure they positively impact on the outcomes of young people in a beautiful part of the country? Athena Learning Trust is looking for People Partners to work within our forward thinking Trust, supporting our schools to improve the quality of teaching and learning and achieve exceptional outcomes for all of our children.

Working as part of the people team to ensure our schools have responsive and adaptive people support, this role will give the right person a chance to develop expertise across our growing Trust as well as the opportunity to influence people strategy.

With previous experience of advising and supporting operational issues and procedures across an organisation at all levels (ideally within an educational setting), you will be able to coach, support and advise (both remotely and on occasion in person) our schools on people issues, policy and procedure as well as work with school leaders to identify innovative ways to improve our people practices.

You will be working closely with the people team and other shared services, building relationships and learning from others to provide effective links with our schools. We want to develop partners that contribute to our thinking and strategy, who collaborate to understand the needs of our schools and who can use their expertise to embed initiatives that have impact. We are flexible on the locations of our partners and can support a home based approach, but you will need to be able to drive and travel to our Trust schools as necessary.

Why us? You will be working with an amazing team of people, driven by inspirational leadership and an underpinning desire to help our schools improve outcomes and opportunities for children.

Our Trust also offers some great benefits, including top rates of pay, support with your health and wellbeing, CPD opportunities, free on-site parking and access to Perkbox, a scheme to offer you a wide range of rewards and even savings on your weekly shop.

We believe in our staff, we love working together, we employ exceptional people and value diversity and we are singularly focused on ensuring children better chances of success.

These roles are full time, permanent positions and it is important to us to ensure we get the right fit for our team and our schools. We reserve the right to close to applications - please don’t delay in applying.

Interviews will take place at our Trust offices in Dunheved House, Launceston from December onwards.
