Job overview

We have a place available for a resident graduate to join the staff for 2021-22 academic year. The role would suit someone who is either ready to start their PGCE (self-financed and via Buckingham University), or looking for experience before undertaking a PGCE.

Duties will be varied including living in and being closely involved in the life of the performing arts department, supporting the Junior School as well as our boarding houses.  We are looking for someone with a willingness to engage in a variety of educational and residential areas across this busy boarding and day school, but with a particular focus in the performing arts department.

Frensham Heights School is a mixed, all-through independent day and boarding school with sixth form, situated in Farnham, Surrey. There are approximately 522 students at the school, between the ages of 3-18.

Frensham Heights School was opened in 1925 and remains on its original site. The school is constantly expanding and improving its facilities, most recently with a new studio and recital room for creative and performing arts students.

The school wishes to demonstrate these values, such as respect through example, believing that both teachers and students need to give and earn this to build a sound learning foundation. The school follows a no-uniform policy and teachers are called by their first name, with the aim that everyone at all levels are treated as individual people.

The motto at Frensham Heights School is ‘Think, Create, Explore’, and students are encouraged to be both inspired and inspiring, with many extra curricular activities offered - ranging from music-based to dance related.
