The Opportunity

King’s College Doha is seeking to appoint outstanding Performing Arts Teacher. The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the teaching and learning of Drama and Music at the School and will be responsible for developing a passion for Performing Arts and participation amongst all children, and the progress of all pupils. Drama and Music is taught as a specialist subject from Pre-School (ages 3-4) to Year 8 (ages 12-13). Specialist Drama and Music teaching will continue into the Senior School as the school expands over the next few years.

The Person

We want our Performing Arts Teacher to be someone who:

  • can deliver well-planned, engaging and creative lessons for their pupils;
  • can deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for all pupils in their care;
  • lead and direct co-curricular Drama and music activities and ensembles;
  • always set high expectations, which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
  • ensure excellent pastoral care;
  • contribute to the co-curricular programme and whole-school activities in a committed and enthusiastic manner;
  • work co-operatively and supportively with all members of staff;
  • are committed to the wellbeing and safeguarding of all pupils; and
  • are prepared to go the extra mile.
