We are seeking to appoint a part time Brass Instructor.
The successful applicant will need to have experience working with beginner brass on all instruments from tuba to trumpet and be able to play these instruments in the lessons and have experience working with 11-16 age group pupils.
They will also need to be able to instruct ‘ABRSM’ graded exam repertoire and be prepared to aspire towards one grade in progress per year.
The applicant should be hardworking, articulate, diligent and conscientious with an outstanding record of attendance and punctuality and have the ability to develop positive working relationships with students and staff.

St Michael’s is a co-educational, Roman Catholic denominational secondary with sixth form in the London borough of Southwark. As of the most recent inspection there were 750 students on the school roll. The school is located close to the banks of the Thames, and the nearest Tube station is Bermondsey on the Jubilee line. In November 2012, the school became an academy managed by the St Michael’s Academy Trust. The sixth form first opened in 2011 and the first students completed their A-levels in 2013. The school is named for the archangel who defeated Satan.
