Peripatetic Music Instrumental Teacher for Piano

Hours: as and when required

Contract: Part-time, term time only position on a casual basis

Pay: £30 per hour

 

We are looking to recruit an inspirational and enthusiastic part time visiting instrumental music teacher for high quality piano tuition. The successful candidate must support with BTEC L2 and L3 performances (both solo and ensemble), be able to prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity Rock & Pop Music Examinations throughout the grades and encourage a life-long love of music and wider participation of music.

They must be able to work with other members of the music department in the preparation and presentation of Academy group teaching, ensembles, productions and concerts. The candidate will be driven to developing student engagement and involvement in the wider life of the music department.

Our ideal candidate will:

·      be a passionate teacher and singer and a committed team player

·      plan and deliver inspiring instrumental lessons which allow students to make excellent progress

·      be an excellent communicator with pupils, staff and parents

·      be able to inspire pupils at both primary and secondary level

·      be an excellent performer

·      contribute towards the music department through seeking out and delivering special opportunities to increase uptake and nurture those already learning

Other Details

Teaching is part time, in term time only. The hours of work are dictated by the number of pupils requiring lessons. There may be opportunities to get involved with other music-making activities in the Academy including the running of extra-curricular ensembles.
