Sandwell College is a great place to work; a large, successful, richly diverse and growing college with a turnover of over £40m. The college has two state of the art campuses in West Bromwich accessible through excellent transport links and, having merged with Cadbury College, now has an exciting and growing Sixth Form College in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will evidence well-developed interpersonal skills and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, negotiating ability and tact to promote good relationships within and outside the college. You will also hold experience of organising and managing a range of activities and plans and have a proactive approach thinking ahead for those managers you are supporting.

You will be highly articulate, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines. With a polished and professional outlook, you will have excellent command of grammar and punctuation with strong IT capabilities and an exceptional telephone manner with the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

This is a key role in providing an effective secretarial support function for the College’s Senior Leadership Team, taking independent and pro-active action where appropriate and in a fully-professional manner. The ideal candidate will be driven and professional individual who works well within a team as well as autonomously and able to use their own initiative prioritising their own workloads.

This would be a great opportunity for an individual with experience in a PA or secretarial role to take on a role that involves a high level of responsibility and drive. If you are highly motivated, hardworking and reliable, we would love to hear from you.
