CTK St Mary's is part of the Christ the King Sixth Forms group of three highly successful sixth forms located in south east London and Kent. As a sixth form centre for excellence, CTK St Mary's offers a wide range of both A Level and vocational courses. Located in Sidcup, on the Kent borders and surrounded by green playing fields, CTK St Mary’s students are inspired and motivated to succeed.

We are seeking to appoint to the position of PA to the Deputy Principal who will manage the site Office at St Mary’s. You will have responsibility for managing sixth form administration systems and processes ensuring they are well organised, expertly delivered to a high standard. You should be well organised, have the ability to work accurately and at a fast pace. You should have a strong understanding of School / College systems, be solution focused and keen to support other members of the administration team. The role with involve working closely with staff and students and wider Sixth form stakeholders so you should have excellent communication skills. 

The successful candidate should have outstanding IT skills, a friendly and caring approach and be able to produce work that is of a high quality in terms of accuracy and content. Flexibility and the ability to manage and motivate others are also key.

Through our mentoring programmes, you will have the chance to build relationships with colleagues at every stage of their careers. 

Staff Study Bursaries

We award a number of bursaries to both teaching and support staff each year to assist with course fees for master’s degrees or further study. 

Staff Research Bursaries

We have developed our own research programmes to inform and contribute to our understanding of how teaching and learning can be improved. You can undertake a small-scale action research project to reflect on teaching practice bringing evidence-informed best practice pedagogy to the classroom and to our work.

Subject Networks

Working with colleagues across our sixth forms strengthens the professional communication between teachers across our three sites. We currently have some 15 networks attended by over 150 staff. 

All Staff Conferences

We run an annual conference for all staff each year, with contributions from guest speakers of national and international prowess. Recent topics include: Breaking Down Barriers to Success – Prioritising Progress for all Students, Transforming Teaching and Learning, Character Building and How Do We Create Successful Learners?
