We are seeking to appoint a committed and trustworthy Personal Care Assistant to work with individual pupils that have personal care needs at the City of Peterborough Academy.

You will join our team and be required to work with specified pupils to ensure that their individual personal care needs are met and they fully participate across the curriculum. This will also require you to work alongside other professional staff in order to further pupils’ personal independence skills.

Ideally with previous experience of working within the care profession, you will possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to cope under pressure. Demonstrating a caring, compassionate and emphatic nature is vital to the success of this role. Full training will be provided.

The City of Peterborough Academy was opened in September 2013 by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build. Based on Reeves Way in Peterborough, the academy has quickly grown from strength to strength with the most recent Ofsted inspection in April 2015 judging the academy as “Outstanding”. It noted pupil behaviour as “exemplary”.

The academy is part of the Greenwood Academies Trust, which offers great development opportunities and an attractive pension scheme.

You will be required to work term time only therefore this is reflected in the pro-rata’d salary; part time applications will be considered.
