Personal Development Coordinator

We are looking to recruit an experienced Careers Professional in the role of Personal Development Co-ordinator.  As well as providing a fully inclusive Careers service to our students, the Personal Development Coordinator will work alongside our Head of Ethics & RS to develop the PHSE curriculum.  

In this individual we want to see a self-starter, someone who is proactive, who can bring new ideas and inspire our students to raise their aspirations.  The Personal Development Coordinator will provide guidance and support to students to help them forge a path to their chosen careers, to help them identify any barriers and work with them to overcome these in order for them to achieve their full potential in school and in the future.  

We would expect applicants to have the relevant careers advice and guidance qualification at Level 6 or above (or at least be working towards this qualification) with experience of: 

• Providing careers advise to students up to the age of 16

• Planning and organising careers events and CEIAG resources 

• Experience of liaising with outside agencies 

• Confidence in presenting & training groups of students, staff and other stakeholders 

• Advising on suitable career pathways and how to support those at risk of not undertaking post-16 pathways

This role is challenging and will give the right person a chance to make it their own, be a key part of a busy Secondary School and make a real difference to the lives of our students.

The contracted hours for this post are 37 hours per week - term time plus 10 days.
