Job overview

Are you a driven and dynamic English teacher who is passionate about pedagogy and has a lust for learning?

Fulham Cross Academy Trust is the umbrella organisation which operates Fulham Cross Academy, Fulham Cross Sixth Form and Fulham Cross Girls’ School

At Fulham Cross Academy we are seeking to find an innovative and forward-thinking practitioner to help further the success of the Personalisation and English departments.

You will primarily be working collaboratively with our established Personalisation team which would involve providing our students with individualised intervention in order to give them every opportunity of success.

Fulfilling our students’ potential is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to provide stimulating and engaging experiences for our students, challenging them to achieve beyond their expectations and supporting them to become lifelong learners. Not only is there a true sense of passion and determination, but there is a palpable sense of community in our school, something that makes Fulham Cross Academy a magnificent place to both learn and work.

As a new member of the English Department, in addition to our whole-school CPD, you would also be supported through our bespoke curriculum T&L sessions which run weekly.

We pride ourselves on our content-rich 7-year curriculum (KS3-5) which is one that spans a broad chronology of the literary canon and explores perspectives from a range of diverse cultural backgrounds, and look forward to evolving this further with a practitioner who is passionate about curriculum design and development.

The post will be based at Fulham Cross Academy but you may be expected to work across the Trust.

If you feel that you share in our vision and our passion for learning and are excited by ‘the FCA Way’, visit our website  to check our curriculum and to get a taste of what life is like for a student of English  at Fulham Cross Academy.
