About Ravenbank Primary School

Employer Summary

Ravenbank is an inclusive school where equality is a core principle.  It is of paramount importance to us that all our children are safe and feel confident, engaged and fulfilled by their school life. The strong leadership team and committed teaching staff have high, appropriate expectations of our pupils and they value social and emotional aspects of development as highly as curriculum based skills and knowledge.  The pupils are calm, happy, kind, well mannered and can demonstrate that they feel secure, successful and proud of their school.  All children are challenged to achieve excellent progress, in an exciting, creative, enjoyable and innovative learning culture.
The SLT and teachers have created a caring, inclusive and positive ethos where individuals, whatever their ages, ability or background, are valued, thus promoting self-esteem, self-reliance and a sense of personal integrity and communal responsibility.  The highly skilled team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants offer a wide range of experience that benefits the school as a whole.  Ravenbank is effectively led and managed to ensure that the provision for the children is the best that it can be, with a Governing Body that works in partnership with the Headteacher to develop and drive the strategic vision of the school, thus ensuring a whole school culture and environment within which everyone is empowered to work together to achieve success.

Ravenbank values the continued support and commitment provided by the parents who play an active role in the day to day life of the school.

The school promotes the commitment of the wider community to Ravenbank, through productive partnerships with organisations in our locality, other schools, professionals, services and agencies for children, the Local Authority, higher education institutions and employers.
