Job overview

Fulham Cross Academy Trust is the umbrella organisation which operates Fulham Cross Girls’ School and Fulham Cross Academy and Fulham Cross Sixth Form.

Fulham Cross Academy continues to expand in size and as we continue our transition from boys only to co-educational we are looking for an enthusiastic and well qualified female graduate to be a Teacher of PE, PSHE/H&SC to GCSE standard. The post is suitable for an experienced teacher or a driven and proactive ECT. A willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school is expected.

The flexibility to teach all three subjects would be desirable but PE with at least one of the other subjects is essential.

The Physical Education Department prides itself on providing an active, varied and challenging curriculum where all students can succeed. You will join an outstanding, dynamic and innovative department committed to delivering high quality PE and sport within the school and local community. The successful candidate should be able to motivate students to achieve their best through effective teaching and establishing good relationships.

H&SC is taught by the team across the Trust at Level 2 and 3. We stay true to vocational principles and strive to provide a practical and meaningful experience for our students, many of whom go on to study this at University and beyond.

We believe passionately in the whole child and PSHE is a core part of our whole school curriculum, with both students and staff really valuing it.

Application packs are available via email at personnel@fulhamcross.net or on the school website www.fulhamcross.net

Closing date: 9.00am on Monday, 6th February 2023.

Interview date: w/c 6th February 2023.

Early applications are welcome. We reserve the right to interview and appoint sooner if the right candidate comes along.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to show they share this commitment; an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate will be requested for the successful candidate in accordance with the relevant legislation.
