Are you an inspirational teacher looking to join a well-established, supportive team in a successful and expanding school? The British International School Shanghai, Puxi Campus is looking for an exceptional PE teacher to join our Physical Education team. We welcome applications from outstanding, self-motivated and reflective professionals. We’re looking for the right blend of energy and experience, and a passion for teaching that embraces change and innovation.

As a qualified teacher you will be a fluent English speaker, familiar with the UK curriculum and confident working with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds. You will be an excellent communicator and confident with technology; someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents. Amongst other things, you’ll be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life as well as the classroom.

Sport is a key part of our curriculum and community here at BISS.  Pupils from across both the primary and secondary campus experience ECAs beyond the school day in a range of sports, including athletics, football, netball, basketball, volleyball, rugby, swimming and tennis. Collectively, these BISS Lions compete in Shanghai leagues, as well as in tournaments within China and South East Asia.  As a member of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, there are many opportunities to participate in regional games held at our own and sister schools.  Our Olympic Gold medal-winning athlete, Marlon Devonish works alongside pupils and teams to help develop positive mindset and resilience.

Becoming a Nord Anglia teacher means that you’ll be joining an international team in which thoughts and ideas are shared around the globe as we strive to make our schools the very best in the world. You will have the security and opportunities that come from being part of a high quality global organisation dedicated to education and professional development.  In return for your passion to deliver the highest quality education you will enjoy a more than competitive salary, accommodation provided by us, an annual flight allowance, health insurance and places in the school for your children. You’ll have the opportunity to live in and work in one of Asia’s largest, most spectacular and most vibrant cities.

Here at the British International School Shanghai, Puxi, we are a close knit team who are proud of our school and community. We educate over 1500 young people of more than 50 nationalities, preparing them for futures as global citizens in the years ahead. If you’d like to be a part of our on-going success, please get in touch; we’d love to hear from you.
